;Pomona, California

Pomona is the 5th largest city in Los Angeles County (after Los Angeles, Long Beach, Glendale, and Santa Clarita). As of the 2000 census, the city population was 149,473. In 2005, its population was estimated as 160,815.

Pomona is the location of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). This university was established on the site of breakfast cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg's ranch located on the city's western corner. The university has over 21,000 students and cover an area of over 1,437 acres (5.82 km2) which makes it the second largest land-holding university in the California State University system, and is known for its engineering and architectural programs which are very selective and nationally ranked. & this is where my sister is studying.

There are three styles of
residence halls on the Cal Poly Pomona campus. The first to be built are the six residential halls located on University Drive. Phase I of the construction of those halls are four red-brick halls named Alamitos, Aliso, Encinitas, and Montecito and provide room for 212 students each. The remaining two were part of Phase II of the construction project and are named Cedritos and Palmitas and have room to accommodate 185 students each.
In contrast to the residential halls, the University Village offers a different style of living as it provides apartments rather than just dormitories to its students. The Village has enough room to accommodate up to 1,300 students.
(& the village, this is where sis is living in, kinda pathetic though, HAHAHA)

hah i did a search due to curiosity & maybe if i get to fly there soon & at least id know where shes studying at :]

The California State University (CSU) is one of three public higher education systems in the state of California, the other two being the University of California system and the California Community College system. The CSU system is composed of 23 campuses and has over 417,112 students supported by 47,000 faculty members and staff. It is the largest university system in the United States. oooooooooh
